Working towards an ethical hacking career, one at a time.

In the beginning I pursued medicine and chemistry, only to realize the aspects of those disciplines I enjoyed were identifying problems and programming solutions to help the chemists, medics, and researchers I worked with.

I have since put all my effort into developing practical skills for developing and securing online systems. My purpose is clear - identify vunerable code, and secure it.

I built a functional home lab based on what is interesting to learn about and what is necessary in modern enterprise environments. This includes:

  • Finding real vulnerabilities for platforms I use daily and exploring exploits in virtual environments
  • Building tools with Bash, Python, and other langauges to reduce time on repetitive tasks at work and home
  • Implementing defensive visibility with IDS/SIEM systems (Snort, OSSEC, Wazuh)
  • Configuring Cisco network device automation with Ansible
  • Managing identities with popular cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • My next steps are getting OSCP certified and getting hired on to help a security-conscious, pro-learning company in Charlotte, NC.
